Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Kléber Salles threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 11thth minute of the game Pedro Donatello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Inter de São Paulo booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egbert Nijveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Kléber Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Kléber Salles in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laércio Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Loureiro in the 20th minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Kléber Salles skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Kléber Salles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Gust Ennemans got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Donatello to make the kick off. Inter de São Paulo's Milosz Korytkowski was substituted for Léo Simão. 62 minutes into the match, Inter de São Paulo's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Kléber Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 minutes Inter de São Paulo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Inter de São Paulo's Kléber Salles managed to reach the ball for a save. After 65 minutes of play, Inter de São Paulo's Laércio Loureiro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kléber Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 73rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kléber Salles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Loureiro in the 81st minute of play. Lars Meesters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Milosz Korytkowski's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Milosz Korytkowski helped the player get up and apologised. Milosz Korytkowski kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
