Nils-Åke Dahlqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan-Olof Björk hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Nils-Åke Dahlqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute Sven-Erik Låsberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 minutes of play, Wetterqvist Boys BK's Sten Norberg made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Nils-Åke Dahlqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wetterqvist Boys BK's Nils-Åke Dahlqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 37th minute of play. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Erik Låsberg in the 43rd minute. The supporters of Wetterqvist Boys BK booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Eikelkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Timmy Bergfeldt to make the kick off. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaf Snell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the game, Sverker Blomberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 69 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Norberg came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Åke Dahlqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sven-Erik Låsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Erik Låsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 98 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gustaf Snell who took care of the corner kick. Wetterqvist Boys BK's Gustaf Snell was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnout Reekers in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
