After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 11th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Kees Mooiweer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and İzzet Akşit quite easily take care of the ball. In the 13th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. İki Gözümün Çiçeği's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Kees Mooiweer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but İki Gözümün Çiçeği's İzzet Akşit did a great save. After 14 played minutes İki Gözümün Çiçeği got a freekick which was hit by Murathan Paye. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murathan Paye, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Murathan Paye came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murathan Paye, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but İzzet Akşit made a huge save. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by İki Gözümün Çiçeği's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. In the 25th minute, Archie Mullen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. İzzet Akşit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. İzzet Akşit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 37th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. İzzet Akşit was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. İzzet Akşit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 61st minute of play. After some careless play in the İki Gözümün Çiçeği defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of İzzet Akşit. The İki Gözümün Çiçeği fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that İzzet Akşit should have stopped the shot. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murathan Paye in the 75th minute of the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
