Metod Mlynar kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After 5 played minutes, Djurgården United's Ferdi Zati shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Henrich Slany came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Djurgården United reached it. After a rather tough play, Slovakia's Zigmund Maliar got a free kick in the 8th minute. Lucas Willig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Henrich Slany made a huge save. In the 13th minute, Djurgården United's Sonny Njurenius dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Slovakia's Henrich Slany proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Slovakia from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Willig in the 18th minute of play forced Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrich Slany was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lucas Willig showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. When Sonny Njurenius came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Djurgården United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sonny Njurenius couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Sonny Njurenius reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Henrich Slany. The goal made the score 3-0. Metod Mlynar charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Metod Mlynar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th match minute, Slovakia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Metod Mlynar to maneuver through the defense. Henrich Slany took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Willig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Willig. After a rather tough play, Slovakia's Metod Mlynar got a free kick in the 45th minute. A collision led to Djurgården United getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ferdi Zati hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucas Willig to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Slovakia defense, Lucas Willig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrich Slany. The Slovakia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrich Slany should have stopped the shot. 59 minutes into the match, Djurgården United's goalkeeper Karl-Åke Qvalfeldt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Metod Mlynar. Bertil Lindholm hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Djurgården United's Tomas Andreasson got a free kick in the 64th minute. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Metod Mlynar took a quick shot and it went in 5-1 without a chance for Karl-Åke Qvalfeldt to make any attempt to save it. In the 70th minute, Vavrinec Koleno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oliver Holub hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Sverker Mossberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Henrich Slany. Slovakia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 82nd minute of the match Pavol Koleno sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Karl-Åke Qvalfeldt skillfully saved the ball. Henrich Slany showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Willig in the 86th minute of the match. Sonny Njurenius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrich Slany having to interfere. With a little luck, Djurgården United's Karl-Åke Qvalfeldt got control of the ball when Metod Mlynar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Slovakia's Henrich Slany played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Willig in the 95th minute of play. Sonny Njurenius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Henrich Slany tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Djurgården United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
