Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 100th minute. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hurşit Üke quite easily take care of the ball. Netherlands were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
