Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Emanuel Markham made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leif Opdal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Egbert Nijveldt kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 9th minute of play forced Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Leif Opdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Leif Opdal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bas Tuitert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Opdal having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Kai Østbye hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leif Opdal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 29th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Frode Tobiassen sent off a good shot on target. Emanuel Markham scored 1-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Opdal having to interfere. Leif Opdal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 52nd minute of play forced Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Leif Opdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leif Opdal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Markham in the 58th minute of play. After 62 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Bas Tuitert. Brufoss IL made a substitution. Nils-Arne Bruvik replaced Kevin Strømsnes. Leif Opdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leif Opdal quite easily take care of the ball. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kai Østbye's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kai Østbye helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute, Kai Østbye hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Leif Opdal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 79th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif Opdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. 81 minutes into the match, Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Leif Opdal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 84th minute of play forced Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Leif Opdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leif Opdal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brufoss IL's Leif Opdal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Brufoss IL from getting a goal against them. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by August Bergsland in the 93rd minute of play. Netherlands played a much better game than Brufoss IL and deserved their victory. The Brufoss IL players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
