The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Oséas Trigo made a precise shot to the right of Maxime Durand. France's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Tomé Mota made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Frank Peletier sent off a good shot on target. Tomé Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camille Baume, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maxime Durand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oséas Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Agua Santa's Tomé Mota got control of the ball when Frank Peletier tried to sneak it across the goal line. The France fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maxime Durand should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Peletier was the one to do the kick off. In the 61st minute Frank Peletier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Peletier in the 65th minute of play forced Agua Santa's goalkeeper Tomé Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Agua Santa's zone, David Barbier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomé Mota came out of the goal and David Barbier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agua Santa made a substitution. William Luz replaced Frank Rosa. The supporters of France booed when Agua Santa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giuseppe Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Tomé Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camille Baume in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Agua Santa's William Luz got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Camille Baume had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomé Mota. Agua Santa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Camille Baume was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. When Alexis Bruneau fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored France's protests and gave Alexis Bruneau a yellow card for diving instead. There was no doubt that France were the better team. France's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
