Belgium:s Casper Claes showed great skill when he stopped Rareș Tatulici:s penalty. Rareș Tatulici did an outstanding performance 7 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-0 to the right of an irritated Casper Claes in the goal. In the 9th match minute, Ninjas in Pyjamas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ştefan Istrăteanu to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, Ninjas in Pyjamas's goal looked a bit too open when Yves Dervaux came free, but Cai Yue Guang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kenneth Almkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Cai Yue Guang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 17th minute of play. Cai Yue Guang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Jarmo Paukson got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Isăilă got free with Casper Claes in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cai Yue Guang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute, Rareș Tatulici got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Isăilă in the 38th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the last second Casper Claes throw himself and got hold of the ball when Manuel Isăilă in the 38thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 39th minute Ninjas in Pyjamas were awarded a corner. Rareș Tatulici went to the cornerflag to take it. Cai Yue Guang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yves Dervaux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casper Claes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rareș Tatulici in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

With a little luck, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Cai Yue Guang got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Cai Yue Guang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Ninjas in Pyjamas from getting a goal against them. Kenneth Almkvist made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Belgium's Guillaume Bonte. In the 67th minute, Manuel Isăilă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casper Claes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Cai Yue Guang in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rareș Tatulici in the 76th minute of play. Casper Claes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rareș Tatulici went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Manuel Isăilă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casper Claes was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Cai Yue Guang made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. Guillaume Bonte made in the 88th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Edward Vanderstraeten immediately put the ball in play. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, Ninjas in Pyjamas could leave the field as winners, despite Belgium having more of the ball for most of the match.
