Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 乔青鹰 scored 0-4 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Frank Sachs was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 48th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 乔青鹰 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 乔青鹰 in the 52nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 乔青鹰 in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonides Pulido got free with Tommy Kahn in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 乔青鹰 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Kahn having to make a save. 乔青鹰's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 乔青鹰 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Adrian Dreifuss kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 乔青鹰 in the 75th minute of play. After 76 played minutes ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Moya. The corner led ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Joaquin Arruta to fire away a dangerous shot which Tommy Kahn despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 83rd minute, 乔青鹰 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. 乔青鹰 succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-9 in the 86th playminute. After some careless play in the Germany defense, 乔青鹰 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute of the match, Leonides Pulido got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tommy Kahn was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Petr Vosáhlo got a free kick in the 96th minute.
