Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eckehard Deckert started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Odeweg FSV getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Nico Gudd hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herminio Iztal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eckehard Deckert got free with Arnout Reekers in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Odeweg FSV's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nico Gudd in the 11th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Netherlands's goalie and right to Salvatore Prockl. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Netherlands's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 13th minute of play forced Odeweg FSV's goalkeeper Herminio Iztal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herminio Iztal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Eckehard Deckert sent off a good shot on target. Herminio Iztal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 21st minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Herminio Iztal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 24th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Odeweg FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Herminio Iztal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Odeweg FSV's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. In the 29th match minute, Odeweg FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredy Brusberg to maneuver through the defense. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Herminio Iztal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 38th minute of play forced Odeweg FSV's goalkeeper Herminio Iztal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Nico Gudd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Odeweg FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Nico Gudd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 53rd minute, Nico Gudd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 53 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Herminio Iztal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 58th minute Edward Kalnik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Edward Kalnik notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nico Gudd hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, Odeweg FSV's goalkeeper Herminio Iztal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Gustaaf Groeneveldt struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Herminio Iztal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eckehard Deckert in the 72nd minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Herminio Iztal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Odeweg FSV's goalkeeper Herminio Iztal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. In the 88th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 89th minute. Conny Plomp tried in the 89th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Herminio Iztal a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-2. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eckehard Deckert in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Odeweg FSV.
