Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute, Antal Valentin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Eusebio Mattin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fodor Daniel. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando Aznar in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Mattin in the 35th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Eusebio Mattin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Fodor Daniel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Hungary booed when Ranelagh F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Aznar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabian Ursino's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabian Ursino helped the player get up and apologised. Ranelagh F.C.:s Francisco Behe showed great skill when he stopped Antal Valentin:s penalty.

In the 52nd minute Eusebio Mattin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
