After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Mariotti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfredo Mariotti made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. The referee felt a red card was in order, 93 minutes into the game, when Peter Larsfält put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of Real Piazza 1982:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hungary:s goal. In the 95th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Real Piazza 1982's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Balazs Lajos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Alfredo Mariotti made a huge save.
