When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Babür Kongurtay took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Arnout Reekers to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the AKÇEŞMESPOR defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cláudio Taffarel. The AKÇEŞMESPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cláudio Taffarel should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice moves Friedrich Nietzsche could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Arnout Reekers however easily saved by the left post. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Friedrich Nietzsche tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute, Babür Kongurtay made a precise shot to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 30 minutes into the match, AKÇEŞMESPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Cláudio Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 33rd minute, Egbert Nijveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, AKÇEŞMESPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Cláudio Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cláudio Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 39th minute of play. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Babür Kongurtay tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Babür Kongurtay came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the AKÇEŞMESPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Babür Kongurtay couldn't finish the play. Cláudio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 44th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Friedrich Nietzsche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cláudio Taffarel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Friedrich Nietzsche was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Friedrich Nietzsche ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After 58 played minutes AKÇEŞMESPOR got a freekick which was hit by Babür Kongurtay. In the 59th minute Babür Kongurtay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Babür Kongurtay in the 59th minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Babür Kongurtay in the 60th minute of the match. AKÇEŞMESPOR's Meriç Özsen was substituted for Radoy Lagadov. In the 64th minute AKÇEŞMESPOR were awarded a corner. Charlie Frisk went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natalio Centenales in the 68th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathijn Doctor to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, AKÇEŞMESPOR's Charlie Frisk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnout Reekers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 73 played minutes AKÇEŞMESPOR got a freekick which was hit by Friedrich Nietzsche. When AKÇEŞMESPOR's Natalio Centenales in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AKÇEŞMESPOR had won after a very even match.
