With an all-out effort, Redbull Sala's Tommy Kahn threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Carlos Alberto Bezerra, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 7th minute Ejvind Haversen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Lundgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Carlos Alberto Bezerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Carlos Alberto Bezerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albin Holweck took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Lundgren. David Lundgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Bezerra in the 16th minute of play. Redbull Sala's David Lundgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 17th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlos Alberto Bezerra kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tommy Kahn. That made the score 1-1 in the 20 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Redbull Sala's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Lundgren came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ejvind Haversen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 38 minutes of play, Redbull Sala's Ejvind Haversen made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Carlos Alberto Bezerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tommy Kahn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ejvind Haversen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 44 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Alberto Bezerra made a kick off. Carlos Alberto Bezerra struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Redbull Sala. When Jörgen Ström fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Redbull Sala's protests and gave Jörgen Ström a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Germany booed when Redbull Sala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörgen Ström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Lundgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 61 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Ejvind Haversen put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Kahn. David Lundgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 67th minute of the match. Frank Sachs's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but David Lundgren firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Alberto Bezerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute of the match Redbull Sala got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Thomas Falkrantz ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Redbull Sala's Alphan Alpaslan got a free kick in the 81st minute. When Carlos Alberto Bezerra came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Redbull Sala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Alberto Bezerra couldn't finish the play. 85 minutes into the match, Redbull Sala's goal looked a bit too open when Albin Holweck came free, but David Lundgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Germany's Sven Krakouer got a free kick in the 88th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ejvind Haversen went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
