Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Yonko Stoichkov made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Viriato Moura sent off a good shot on target. After 15 played minutes Leidenschaft got a freekick which was hit by Rudolf Maletz. With a couple of smart ball manuevers George Suminskis in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when George Suminskis came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, George Suminskis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 34th minute George Suminskis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Bastos hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, George Suminskis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leidenschaft fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Daniel Pimentel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yonko Stoichkov having to interfere. The Portugal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Leidenschaft were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Moura made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yonko Stoichkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when George Suminskis got free with Wilson Amorim in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th minute, Viriato Moura made a precise shot to the right of Yonko Stoichkov. Leidenschaft's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Yonko Stoichkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Pimentel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Yonko Stoichkov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leidenschaft's Yonko Stoichkov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 69th minute of play. Yonko Stoichkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 70th minute of play. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Suminskis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hannes Rehbach, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Yonko Stoichkov came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Viriato Moura. But to his dismay, Viriato Moura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. After a rather tough play, Leidenschaft's Emilio Gualtieri got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Yonko Stoichkov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caetano Moreira went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. After 91 minutes of play, Portugal's Daniel Pimentel made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yonko Stoichkov was left in no man's land by his defense there! For all the effort they put into the match, the Leidenschaft players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Portugal.
