But to his dismay, Wasyl Dziurowicz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 18 minutes in the game Eugen Ionita did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Sanda Cutov. After 21 minutes of play, Romania's Sanda Cutov made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Konstanty Wawro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nistor Sârban blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carol Stinga having to make a save. Romania's Carol Stinga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Romania from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute of the match, Cemal Palabıyık tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carol Stinga saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Romania's Carol Stinga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wasyl Dziurowicz in the 43rd minute of play. Romania's Sanda Cutov got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of Romania booed when Rega Merida CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ersen Durmus didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Romania fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carol Stinga should have stopped the shot. Rega Merida CF's Leonello Messias was substituted for Wasyl Dziurowicz. Carol Stinga didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Rega Merida CF's Nistor Sârban shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Carol Stinga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nistor Sârban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Konstanty Wawro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sanda Cutov spun around in front of the goal 93 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Rega Merida CF's goal. In the 95th minute of the game Eugen Ionita made a throw-in which Sanda Cutov played forward. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rega Merida CF had won after a very even match.
