Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Frank Sachs took the kick off in the first half of the match. When União São José FC's Pedro Luiz Corrêa in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Germany's goalie prevented a goal. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauro da Silveira having to interfere. Cláudio Loyola had several of the Germany's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 10 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Tommy Kahn as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Luiz Corrêa got free with Tommy Kahn in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. União São José FC's Lauro da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 24th minute of play. Lauro da Silveira came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Germany's Frank Sachs. But to his dismay, Frank Sachs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Lauro da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute Cláudio Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Malte Schiele hit a great ball. Pedro Luiz Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Albin Holweck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Germany fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.

When Mário Paulista fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored União São José FC's protests and gave Mário Paulista a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute, Mário Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind União São José FC's goalkeeper Lauro da Silveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Frank Sachs took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Lauro da Silveira to make any attempt to save it. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Lauro da Silveira made a huge save. In the 68th minute of the match Germany got a corner. União São José FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Frank Sachs ran over to the corner to take the kick. Linus Schwerner kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Lauro da Silveira made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. Lauro da Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albin Holweck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Albin Holweck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Albin Holweck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Albin Holweck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luiz Corrêa in the 97th minute of the match. The Germany supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Germany would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
