England's Kyle Cox got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cooper Thompson hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The supporters of England booed when União São José FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glauco Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Acácio Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Khalid Kennedy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luiz Corrêa in the 31st minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
