The supporters of Denmark booed when Chłyt Materkindody was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zdzislaw Pierz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 12 minutes, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal and Guadalupe Seracoyz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Zygmunt Kornaszewski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keld Paulsen was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Chłyt Materkindody's Tolek Drab played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 25th minute of play. Bjarne Kirkegaard's late challenge caught a Chłyt Materkindody's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denmark were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
