An unexpectedly hard shot by Umea Loza in the 10th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eufrasio Vall read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Mariolo's goal looked a bit too open when Sigfrido Auletta came free, but Eufrasio Vall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Italy's Flavio Vittori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Italy from getting a goal against them. Deodato Magliozzi kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederico Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zaccheo Andolina made a kick off. 60 minutes into the match, Mariolo's goalkeeper Eufrasio Vall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zaccheo Andolina. Marcial Elgueta kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Zaccheo Andolina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Eufrasio Vall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute of the match, Zaccheo Andolina tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eufrasio Vall saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 66th minute of play forced Mariolo's goalkeeper Eufrasio Vall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the game, Mariolo's Frederico Barros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flavio Vittori made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Eufrasio Vall successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Italy's Zaccheo Andolina got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Siricio Liotta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eufrasio Vall having to make a save. After some careless play in the Italy defense, Frederico Barros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flavio Vittori. The Italy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flavio Vittori should have stopped the shot. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. Italy's Sostene Vitulli quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Lartaun Carrandi, made in the 82nd minute of the game. 86 minutes into the match, Italy's Adriano Curto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eufrasio Vall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 95 played minutes Mariolo got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Elgueta. The Mariolo support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
