The referee ignored Darkwing Ducks's protests and gave Kresten Cosmus a yellow card for diving instead. Kresten Cosmus hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Søren Kvols showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 44th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hassan Wiemert got free with Tommy Kahn in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Sachs to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 95 minutes of play, Darkwing Ducks's Kresten Cosmus made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Darkwing Ducks fully deserved thier win.
