Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. Tobias Pepillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 7th minute of play. In the 11th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Egbert Nijveldt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tobias Pepillo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Lars Meesters got a free kick in the 13th minute. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Lars Meesters hit a great ball. With his leg Arnout Reekers managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Compostela FSCMZ's Boruc Poling fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 23rd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Pepillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute of the match, Boruc Poling tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnout Reekers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tobias Pepillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Wim Wilmes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tobias Pepillo quite easily take care of the ball. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Boruc Poling sent off a good shot on target. Naldo Figueiredo charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Naldo Figueiredo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd minute, Naldo Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobias Pepillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Boruc Poling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere.

Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chicão Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Lars Meesters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chicão Cerezo in the 62nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boruc Poling in the 63rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tobias Pepillo. Tobias Pepillo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chicão Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 76th minute Jaroslaw Niezgoda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Compostela FSCMZ made a substitution. Raí Peres replaced Boruc Poling. Compostela FSCMZ's Inácio Mattos was substituted for Robert Kornatowski. In the 88th minute of the match, Lars Meesters tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tobias Pepillo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jaroslaw Niezgoda kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Tobias Pepillo came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt. But to his dismay, Gustaaf Groeneveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaroslaw Niezgoda in the 93rd minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Tobias Pepillo made a huge save. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
