Maxime Durand came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by 太原理工校队's 曲弘迅. But to his dismay, 曲弘迅 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 21st minute David Barbier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 毛皓源 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, 太原理工校队's goal looked a bit too open when Camille Baume came free, but 毛皓源 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 毛皓源 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camille Baume, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 毛皓源 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remy Dupuy in the 28th minute of play. 太原理工校队's 毛皓源 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save 太原理工校队 from getting a goal against them. 曲弘迅 kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. France's Camille Baume got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yuri Jacinto kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

51 minutes into the game, Camille Baume cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. 毛皓源 was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 太原理工校队's Shao Jun Ting got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maxime Durand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shao Jun Ting in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Robert Chapuis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, Remy Dupuy made a precise shot to the right of 毛皓源. 太原理工校队's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 毛皓源 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Peletier, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the match, 太原理工校队's Nejat Alp Ziya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maxime Durand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. France's Maxime Durand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 曲弘迅 in the 75th minute of play. 曲弘迅 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the France defense, Nejat Alp Ziya kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maxime Durand. The France fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maxime Durand should have stopped the shot. 曲弘迅 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxime Durand having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Shao Jun Ting hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
