After a rather tough play, MAFFIAN's Stig-Arne Skålberg got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 16th minute Vincent Linberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, MAFFIAN's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Aron Dahlbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Kahn acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 23rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Börje Frisk. Pete Sampras could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Aron Dahlbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pete Sampras in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Vallin's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Germany fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Tommy Kahn, was totally fooled by MAFFIAN's Pete Sampras, who 37 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Sachs in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aron Dahlbom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Frank Sachs made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Pete Sampras came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Ragnar Törnkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Ragnar Törnkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 84 minutes into the game, MAFFIAN's Vincent Linberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 87th minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Frank Sachs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MAFFIAN the free kick. The supporters of MAFFIAN booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Sachs didn't get a good kick on the ball. MAFFIAN walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
