Club Atlético Lea Papá's Hong Qing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Lea Papá from getting a goal against them. 13 minutes into the game, Italy's Sigfrido Auletta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hong Qing made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Hong Qing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Club Atlético Lea Papá's Hong Qing got control of the ball when Zaccheo Andolina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Italy's Siricio Liotta got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Italy were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Club Atlético Lea Papá's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sigfrido Auletta took the corner. The corner ended in Porziano Marchitelli almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Atlético Lea Papá's Hong Qing did a great save. In the 27th minute, Zaccheo Andolina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hong Qing was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hong Qing read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Nahuel Molina in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Italy's Siricio Liotta. A throw-in in the 36th minute of the game was made by Horacio Carbonari with Anton Donose as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The supporters of Italy booed when Club Atlético Lea Papá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Marinelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Porziano Marchitelli got free with Hong Qing in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hong Qing was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Zaccheo Andolina capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zaccheo Andolina really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michal Jehlička in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Club Atlético Lea Papá's Aldo-Pedro Poy was substituted for Anton Donose. Club Atlético Lea Papá's Rafael Delgado was substituted for José Antonio Chamot. In the 54th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hong Qing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Lea Papá's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Hong Qing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gao Chuan kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Sigfrido Auletta struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Hong Qing didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. The audience was convinced that Aldo-Pedro Poy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Vittori was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guiscardo Davide in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hong Qing prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 96th minute Adriano Curto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hong Qing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adriano Curto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
