Délio Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 11th minute of the match. A collision led to Werneck FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Dalmo Hoffmann hit a great ball. In the 14th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Délio Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Chris Nygaard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Denmark fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After some careless play in the Werneck FC - DMZ defense, Chris Nygaard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Délio Fantini. The Werneck FC - DMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Délio Fantini should have stopped the shot. 23 minutes into the game, Chris Nygaard recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Délio Fantini. Chris Nygaard showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. In the 27th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Délio Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Werneck FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Délio Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Délio Fantini was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Chris Nygaard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Délio Fantini when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lars Steen struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Délio Fantini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. 45 minutes into the game, Bertram Svenningsen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Délio Fantini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

58 minutes into the game, Eusébio Marquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Werneck FC - DMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. When Denmark's Chris Nygaard in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Werneck FC - DMZ's goalie prevented a goal. Zé Paulo Lara's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Paulo Lara helped the player get up and apologised. Zé Paulo Lara hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Délio Fantini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertram Svenningsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mikkel Wulff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Délio Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 70th minute of play. Délio Fantini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertram Svenningsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 84th minute of play forced Werneck FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Délio Fantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bjarne Kirkegaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Nygaard in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Délio Fantini saved Werneck FC - DMZ from getting behind. Délio Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 91st minute of the match. Chris Nygaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denmark walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
