Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Denmark's Chris Nygaard started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Zé Paulo Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Paulo Luz in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keld Paulsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Paulo Luz in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Keld Paulsen saved Denmark from getting behind. Bertram Svenningsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felix Donciu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. After 12 played minutes Werneck FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Joélson Amaral. After 20 minutes of play, Werneck FC - DMZ's Zé Paulo Luz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Keld Paulsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Paulo Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Fu Ting Nan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Keld Paulsen having to make a save. In the 32nd minute, Zé Paulo Luz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Werneck FC - DMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Felix Donciu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chris Nygaard in the 40th minute. In the 40th minute, Werneck FC - DMZ's Murillo Fontes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Murillo Fontes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Werneck FC - DMZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Murillo Fontes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Werneck FC - DMZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Denmark:s goal. The referee gave Denmark a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Chris Nygaard, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Werneck FC - DMZ's Felix Donciu. 2-2. In the 45th minute Zé Paulo Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Paulo Luz was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Zé Paulo Luz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keld Paulsen was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Denmark's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chris Nygaard in the 77th minute. The corner ended in Chris Nygaard almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Werneck FC - DMZ's Felix Donciu did a great save. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Lars Steen hit a great ball. 82 minutes in the game, Zé Paulo Luz fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. Keld Paulsen had great luck who in the 82ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Zé Paulo Luz from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 84 minutes into the game, Zé Paulo Luz lined in a short shot 2-5 behind a frustrated Keld Paulsen.
