Fryderyk Wydrych started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Centrum Przechlewo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanek Michna having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 21st minute of play forced Centrum Przechlewo's goalkeeper Tanek Michna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Michna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 24th minute. It was a well-played corner which Wim Wilmes managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 29 minutes into the game, Grzegorz Czajka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Centrum Przechlewo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. Netherlands made a substitution. Kevin Drogt replaced Kees Mooiweer. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Tanek Michna in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Centrum Przechlewo made a substitution. Adrian Tancredo replaced Fryderyk Wydrych.

Tanek Michna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrian Tancredo during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Damazy Barys fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Centrum Przechlewo's protests and gave Damazy Barys a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Centrum Przechlewo got a freekick which was hit by Damazy Barys. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 69th minute of play forced Centrum Przechlewo's goalkeeper Tanek Michna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Przemyslaw Augustyniak charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Przemyslaw Augustyniak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Centrum Przechlewo's Przemyslaw Augustyniak got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 77 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustaaf Groeneveldt to maneuver through the defense. Adrian Tancredo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play.
