In the 8th minute Takacs Tibor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Pihl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Pihl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 9th minute of play. After some careless play in the Börna Bulldogs defense, Antal Valentin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alex Pihl. The Börna Bulldogs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alex Pihl should have stopped the shot. In the 17th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. Alex Pihl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Antal Valentin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 29 minutes into the match, Börna Bulldogs's Kasper Persson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fodor Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 30 minutes into the game, Balazs Lajos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Alex Pihl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alex Pihl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Börna Bulldogs's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Alex Pihl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Börna Bulldogs's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. Hungary's Antal Valentin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alex Pihl in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 43rd minute of play forced Börna Bulldogs's goalkeeper Alex Pihl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Pihl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven Sjöström hit a great ball. If Balazs Lajos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Börna Bulldogs's Mattias Bröms got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Börna Bulldogs's Sven Sjöström got a free kick in the 65th minute. Alex Pihl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Balazs Lajos in the 67th minute. In the 75thth minute of the game Marcus Hök who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alex Pihl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 81st minute Börna Bulldogs were awarded a corner. Per Wallgren went to the cornerflag to take it. Carl Beck hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Alex Pihl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hegedus Henrik, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 95th minute, Börje Wennerberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Hungary left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Börna Bulldogs.
