Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arjen de Boer started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilco Heida in the 3rd minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arjen de Boer in the 6th minute of play. Edward Vanderstraeten struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Jan de Boer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgium. 9 minutes into the game, Sons of Strategy's Arjen de Boer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Casper Claes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 11th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan de Boer was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 17 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Olaf Degens came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olaf Degens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arjen de Boer in the 19th minute of play. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olaf Degens in the 21st minute of the match. The nice shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 26thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Jan de Boer had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Belgium were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Sons of Strategy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edward Vanderstraeten took the corner. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilco Heida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan de Boer having to make a save. 35 minutes into the match, Sons of Strategy's goalkeeper Jan de Boer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 37th minute of play forced Sons of Strategy's goalkeeper Jan de Boer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan de Boer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edward Vanderstraeten showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 41 minute of play. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan de Boer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. Ferry Klein charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ferry Klein the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ferry Klein kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Marco Bos kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edward Vanderstraeten to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan de Boer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan de Boer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 56th minute of play. Jan de Boer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Folker Diggele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arjen de Boer in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Claes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arjen de Boer's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Jan de Boer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Vanderstraeten's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Yves Dervaux might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan de Boer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yves Dervaux ran back to his position shaking his head. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arjen de Boer in the 89th minute of play. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan de Boer having to make a save. Jan de Boer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 96th minute of the match. Belgium's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
