In the 7th minute, Danél Pincheira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 10th minute of the match Laurín Dundan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Laurín Dundan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Deportes Vαldiviα's Laurín Dundan got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 16 played minutes Deportes Vαldiviα got a freekick which was hit by Eufrasio Najera. Vinos Guemes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 24 minutes, Danél Pincheira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportes Vαldiviα and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Romo in the 71st minute of play. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinos Guemes in the 75th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the game, Deportes Vαldiviα's Rolando Ortega nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Deportes Vαldiviα fully deserved thier win.
