The supporters of MDQ Raptors FC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathijn Doctor didn't get a good kick on the ball. MDQ Raptors FC's Abelardo Rocendo got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 10 minutes MDQ Raptors FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Gijsbert ter Kruimer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MDQ Raptors FC's Cosme Francesco did a great save. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Järvenperä in the 16th minute of play. Hermengildo Ursinos short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Arnout Reekers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 25 minutes into the match, MDQ Raptors FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Cosme Francesco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the MDQ Raptors FC defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cosme Francesco. The MDQ Raptors FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cosme Francesco should have stopped the shot. 30 minutes into the match, MDQ Raptors FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Cosme Francesco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosme Francesco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Lars Meesters hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the match, MDQ Raptors FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Cosme Francesco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The wind increased when Hermengildo Ursino made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Daniel Järvenperä had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Järvenperä was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 55th minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cosme Francesco was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, MDQ Raptors FC's Ernesto Elodio got a free kick in the 56th minute. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Adrio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Egbert Nijveldt kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Rocendo, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 80 minutes into the match, MDQ Raptors FC's goalkeeper Cosme Francesco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. In the 83rd minute Hermengildo Ursino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cosme Francesco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 84th minute of play. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Daniel Järvenperä shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
