A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Krzysztof Hajduk in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Krzysztof Hajduk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Germany's Chris Mergenthaler got a free kick in the 77th minute. Dario Llope hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krzysztof Hajduk in the 95th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
