Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Joacim Johansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Joacim Johansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Malmström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Svenska Lejon BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Folke Malmström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Stenström came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Folke Malmström came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt. But to his dismay, Gustaaf Groeneveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Svenska Lejon BK getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Andreas Holm hit a great ball. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Malmström having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Mark Stenström recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arnout Reekers. Mark Stenström showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Folke Malmström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Svenska Lejon BK's August Blomberg got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

52 minutes into the game, Andreas Holm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Svenska Lejon BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. After 52 played minutes Svenska Lejon BK got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Holm. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Svenska Lejon BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zigmas Matonis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gijsbert ter Kruimer to maneuver through the defense. If Joacim Johansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Folke Malmström threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lars Meesters, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 68 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Folke Malmström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Folke Malmström was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Gustaaf Groeneveldt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. In the 81stth minute of the game Wim Wilmes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Svenska Lejon BK's Folke Malmström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lars Meesters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Malmström having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Stenström in the 88th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Svenska Lejon BK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
