After a rather tough play, Gimnástico F.C.'s Urtsin Infante got a free kick in the 6th minute. Gimnástico F.C.'s Bekololari Idachaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Denmark's Chris Nygaard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bekololari Idachaba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bekololari Idachaba was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. After 12 minutes Gimnástico F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Chris Nygaard who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Denmark's Olav Graversen getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Chris Nygaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bekololari Idachaba having to interfere. Chris Nygaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Gimnástico F.C. booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Nygaard didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute Kenn Skou suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After 25 minutes, Cloyo Alcaraz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gimnástico F.C. and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cloyo Alcaraz kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Bertram Svenningsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bekololari Idachaba having to interfere. Gimnástico F.C.'s Bekololari Idachaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 30th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bekololari Idachaba was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 34th minute, Mikkel Wulff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Nygaard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bekololari Idachaba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Gimnástico F.C.'s zone, Chris Nygaard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bekololari Idachaba came out of the goal and Chris Nygaard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Urtsin Infante's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urtsin Infante helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd match minute, Gimnástico F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urtsin Infante to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chris Nygaard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cloyo Alcaraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denmark's Mathias Ludvigsen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Paulin Elguero, made in the 66th minute of the game. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Lars Steen hit a great ball. Chris Nygaard did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-1 to the left of a surprised Bekololari Idachaba 74 minutes into the match. Bekololari Idachaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Olav Graversen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Olav Graversen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bekololari Idachaba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the game, Policarpio Marcos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gimnástico F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Policarpio Marcos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Bertram Svenningsen hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the game, Kevin Cabrera threw the ball into play from the sideline. Denmark's Theis Winther quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Bertram Svenningsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gimnástico F.C.'s Cloyo Alcaraz got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Denmark's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
