Donato Venerando's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donato Venerando helped the player get up and apologised. Donato Venerando hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Antal Valentin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emanuel Jacob came out and tried to block the shot, but Antal Valentin slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 46th minute.
