Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) After 3 minutes of play, Boca Juniors's Alejandro Federigo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Serbia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jovan Borisov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Vistruario, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 7th minute Alejandro Federigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 9 minutes of play, Boca Juniors's Maximino Tello made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was left in no man's land by his defense there! 14 minutes into the match, Davor Šuker had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Serbia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Davor Šuker was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 18 minutes into the game, Maximino Tello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 21 minutes into the match, Alejandro Federigo notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th minute, Davor Šuker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Tello in the 30th minute of play forced Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Maximino Tello came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximino Tello couldn't finish the play. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejandro Federigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Lionel Messi notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Boca Juniors's Maximino Tello. But to his dismay, Maximino Tello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lionel Messi in the 44th minute of the match. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davor Šuker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Serbia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Boca Juniors were winning 0-8.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Davor Šuker was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Maximino Tello notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Serbia from getting a goal against them. 56 minutes into the game, Maximino Tello recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Maximino Tello showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-10. 61 minutes into the match, Lionel Messi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic, 0-11. In the 64th match minute, Serbia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cvijetin Nanusevski to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute, Davor Šuker reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. The goal made the score 0-12. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Davor Šuker's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. If Lionel Messi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, 麦景希 took a quick shot and it went in 0-13 without a chance for Zvezdan Nedeljkovic to make any attempt to save it. 79 minutes into the match, Maximino Tello notched a goal, 0-14, to the right of Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 81 minutes into the game, Maximino Tello recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Maximino Tello showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-15. Davor Šuker succeeded in the game's 84th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-16. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Davor Šuker capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Davor Šuker really showed his touch with that goal: 0-17. After some careless play in the Serbia defense, Manuel Vistruario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. The Serbia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zvezdan Nedeljkovic should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Davor Šuker took a quick shot and it went in 0-19 without a chance for Zvezdan Nedeljkovic to make any attempt to save it. Boca Juniors played a much better game than Serbia and deserved their victory. The Serbia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
