Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. Miguel Poças took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Poças showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Bakos Endre hit a great ball. José Bomba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fodor Daniel having to make a save. Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Bomba in the 27th minute. José Bomba received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fodor Daniel came out and tried to block the shot, but José Bomba slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 30th minute. José Bomba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Poças saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Bomba's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fodor Daniel firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 44th minute of play forced F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Miguel Poças to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Bomba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. José Bomba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Miguel Poças made a huge save. José Bomba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. Paços de Ferreira's José Bomba. But to his dismay, José Bomba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 69th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Poças saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hong Xi Bin made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Hungary's Balazs Lajos. José Bomba's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Bomba helped the player get up and apologised. José Bomba kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. José Bomba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The F.C. Paços de Ferreira players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
