The throw-in from Elia Di Sipio in the 2nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. 5 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristoforo Tammaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 6 minutes into the match, Lunatics of Arianrhod's goal looked a bit too open when Siricio Liotta came free, but Cristoforo Tammaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Vittori didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 9th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. A sloppy throw-in by Elia Di Sipio in the 12th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Zaccheo Andolina scored 1-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristoforo Tammaro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the match, Lunatics of Arianrhod's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Cristoforo Tammaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristoforo Tammaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 23rd minute of the match. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristoforo Tammaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. After having played for 30 minutes, Joel Hibai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lunatics of Arianrhod's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Hibai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Lunatics of Arianrhod's Elia Di Sipio got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Cristoforo Tammaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristoforo Tammaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Elia Di Sipio's late challenge caught a Italy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elia Di Sipio helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Lunatics of Arianrhod's Elia Di Sipio got a free kick in the 45th minute. Fedele Panza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flavio Vittori having to make a save. The Lunatics of Arianrhod players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Italy were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fedele Panza to make the kick off. Cristoforo Tammaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 62nd minute, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Martini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristoforo Tammaro made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Zaccheo Andolina sent off a good shot on target. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalkeeper Cristoforo Tammaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedele Panza in the 84th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Italy made a substitution. Sansone Vanella replaced Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. Italy's Deodato Magliozzi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Makis Galopoulos in the 91 minute of the game. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fedele Panza, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Italy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Italy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
