Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wieslaw Kolano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 played minutes La Git! got a freekick which was hit by Oktay Kahveci. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wieslaw Kolano in the 26th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Wieslaw Kolano put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Arnout Reekers. Duman Temizcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Eikelkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. A collision led to La Git! getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Özbek İltay hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as La Git!'s Leopoldo Manta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arnout Reekers. That made the score 0-2 after 58 minutes of play. Duman Temizcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Gust Ennemans hit a great ball. Leopoldo Manta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnout Reekers having to make a save. In the 76th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duman Temizcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Duman Temizcan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. If Özbek İltay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st match minute, La Git! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Özbek İltay to maneuver through the defense. Lars Meesters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La Git!'s Duman Temizcan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Meesters in the 85th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Lars Meesters made a precise shot to the right of Duman Temizcan. La Git!'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Duman Temizcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 90th minute of play. Leopoldo Manta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arnout Reekers came out and tried to block the shot, but Leopoldo Manta slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 93rd minute. In the 97th minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duman Temizcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The La Git! supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing La Git! would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
