The corner ended in Gijsbert ter Kruimer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mörknäs Electric Vikings's Gunnar Lidberg did a great save. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Mörknäs Electric Vikings's Gunnar Lidberg managed to reach the ball for a save. When Gust Ennemans fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Netherlands's protests and gave Gust Ennemans a yellow card for diving instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bas Tuitert during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bas Tuitert to maneuver through the defense. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
