Andy Renner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 18 minutes into the match, FC Soldeu's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Andy Renner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Mathijn Doctor hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Patryk Huchro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Patryk Huchro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Doug Hoskins during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andy Renner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Netherlands booed when FC Soldeu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldas Jasiūnas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wim Wilmes ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Wim Wilmes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andy Renner. That made the score 1-1 in the 55 minute of play. Mathijn Doctor kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute of the match Patryk Huchro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnout Reekers skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Netherlands booed when FC Soldeu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damien Fowler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damien Fowler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 75th minute of play forced FC Soldeu's goalkeeper Andy Renner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andy Bartlett hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 85th minute. Luizinho Maldini tried in the game's 85th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Andy Renner. An annoying self made goal, 1-2. Andy Renner made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. 91 minutes into the match, FC Soldeu's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Andy Renner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Andy Renner managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
