Gerson Carneiro started the match with the kick off. Rogério Vieira hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moisés Arruda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. If Kalle Billberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Witalis Brysz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Casper Claes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 17th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Poetass FC's corner Jon-Egil Schjelderup fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Casper Claes quite easily take care of the ball. In the 21st match minute, Belgium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Vanderstraeten to maneuver through the defense. Moisés Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 23rd minute of the match. Laurens Vandamme hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerson Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute Kalle Billberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerson Carneiro in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belgium's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jon-Egil Schjelderup was slow to take the kick. During this time Poetass FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Poetass FC's corner Kalle Billberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Casper Claes quite easily take care of the ball. In the 37th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten made a precise shot to the right of Moisés Arruda. Poetass FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Kalle Billberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Casper Claes. That made the score 1-1 in the 41 minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Moisés Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Poetass FC made a substitution. Nildo de Souza replaced Gerson Carneiro. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edward Vanderstraeten to strike the kick off in the second half. Siebe Michiels's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Moisés Arruda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yves Dervaux got free with Moisés Arruda in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 64 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Moisés Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Moisés Arruda successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With an all-out effort, Belgium's Moisés Arruda threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edward Vanderstraeten, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Yves Dervaux managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgium's supporters rose to their feet, but Yves Dervaux was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moisés Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edward Vanderstraeten scored 1-2 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Moisés Arruda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Poetass FC made a substitution. Celsinho Montenegro replaced Vicente Heidemann. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kalle Billberg in the 81st minute of the match. In the 84th minute Kalle Billberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Kalle Billberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Casper Claes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 90 minutes into the match, Edward Vanderstraeten notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Poetass FC's Moisés Arruda. Moisés Arruda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Moisés Arruda came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten. But to his dismay, Edward Vanderstraeten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Belgium eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
