Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sebastian Jaunzuria started the match with the kick off. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Malysz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. 13 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonatan Bortzaioriz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Lars Meesters might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonatan Bortzaioriz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lars Meesters ran back to his position shaking his head. Wim Wilmes kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Gijsbert ter Kruimer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonatan Bortzaioriz was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Gijsbert ter Kruimer sped through Cañada Juniors's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonatan Bortzaioriz. A hard shot 25 in the game by Sebastian Jaunzuria from a close distance when the talented Arnout Reekers managed to make a qualified save. Netherlands's players were relieved. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Nemesio Cesaro charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nemesio Cesaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Wim Wilmes. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonatan Bortzaioriz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. After 36 played minutes Cañada Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Dragolyub Mantovski. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Batista in the 38th minute of play. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan Malysz in the 42nd minute. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Adolfo Batista took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Arnout Reekers to make any attempt to save it. After the first half Netherlands were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. In the 53rd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cañada Juniors's Jonatan Bortzaioriz didn't even have to move. 57 minutes into the game, Sebastian Jaunzuria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Lembeck in the 60th minute of play. In the 71st minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Bortzaioriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonatan Bortzaioriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 76th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute, David Eikelkamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonatan Bortzaioriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Cañada Juniors's Nemesio Cesaro got his second yellow card of the match in the 93rd minute. The referee ordered Nemesio Cesaro off the ground. In the 94th match minute, Cañada Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nemesio Cesaro to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute Jan Malysz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Cañada Juniors players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
