Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zac O'Donnell took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guga Souto got free with Alexander Higgins in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Scotland's Robert McNeill got a free kick in the 8th minute. Alexander Higgins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guga Souto in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Guga Souto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexander Higgins. Scotland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guga Souto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Gilberto Dracena charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilberto Dracena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th match minute, Goiás Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Dracena to maneuver through the defense. Fletcher Main sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Guga Souto in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alexander Higgins, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ashton Nelson's late challenge caught a Goiás Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ashton Nelson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th minute, Ashton Nelson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flávio Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robert McNeill during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 33rd minute of the match Gilberto Dracena shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexander Higgins showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Fletcher Main had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Scotland getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Jack MacKinnon hit a great ball. Alexander Higgins made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Guga Souto sent off a good shot on target. If Guga Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Goiás Esporte Clube's Paulo José Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zac O'Donnell in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Flávio Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Alexander Higgins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 minutes of play, Goiás Esporte Clube's Guga Souto made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexander Higgins was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alexander Higgins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Dionísio in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Scotland's goal looked a bit too open when Guga Souto came free, but Alexander Higgins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Goiás Esporte Clube's Flávio Dionísio in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Scotland's goalie prevented a goal. When Ashton Nelson was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. The supporters of Goiás Esporte Clube booed when Scotland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ashton Nelson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Higgins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Pedro da Mata in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Flávio Dionísio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 80th minute Zé Pedro da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Higgins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 85th match minute, Scotland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert McNeill to maneuver through the defense. Alexander Higgins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guga Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes into the game, Fletcher Main cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Paulo José Fontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Goiás Esporte Clube fully deserved thier win.
