In the 12th minute of the match Lanzenkirchen got a corner. Portugal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Oliver Gilessen ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Lanzenkirchen's corner Oliver Gilessen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wilson Amorim quite easily take care of the ball. 14 minutes in the game Sören Bergmann did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Roque Claus. Roque Claus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roque Claus in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. In the 18th minute Lanzenkirchen were awarded a corner. Oliver Gilessen went to the cornerflag to take it. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Edgar Tolsson in the 25 minute of the game. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Lanzenkirchen's goalie and right to Viriato Moura. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Lanzenkirchen's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Lanzenkirchen's Karl-Åke Brummer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Lanzenkirchen from getting a goal against them. Felipe Barretos short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Karl-Åke Brummer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 47 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Barreto. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roque Claus was the one to do the kick off. Lanzenkirchen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caetano Moreira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 66th minute of the game Edgar Tolsson made a throw-in which Leonardo Chiellini played forward. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Karl-Åke Brummer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Karl-Åke Brummer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 73rd minute of the match. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. Nicolai Nowak took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wilson Amorim. Portugal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sören Bergmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roque Claus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorio Demesio couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Portugal had won after a very even match.
