Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Onurhan Sufi in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute Onurhan Sufi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, FC GG's goalkeeper Selçuk Tekin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chris Nygaard. Vahit Akboy made in the 22nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ahmet Oytunç. Selçuk Tekin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenn Skou to maneuver through the defense. Vahit Akboy got a throw-in 35 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Onurhan Sufi. Ahmet Oytunç made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Theis Winther. Vahit Akboy made in the 42nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ahmet Oytunç however managed to control. Denmark's Simon Bendtsen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Vahit Akboy in the 44 minute of the game. When Simon Bendtsen fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Denmark's protests and gave Simon Bendtsen a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Simon Bendtsen. The audience was convinced that Abidin Tümerk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keld Paulsen was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. The Denmark players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC GG were winning 0-1.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahmet Oytunç during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vahit Akboy made in the 56th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Olav Graversen. Selçuk Tekin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris Nygaard's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Chris Nygaard might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Selçuk Tekin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chris Nygaard ran back to his position shaking his head. 66 minutes in the game Vahit Akboy did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ahmet Oytunç. Vahit Akboy made in the 68th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ahmet Oytunç immediately put the ball in play. Selçuk Tekin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 70th minute of play. Denmark's Keld Paulsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Denmark from getting a goal against them. Selçuk Tekin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 78th minute of the match. Abidin Tümerk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Keld Paulsen having to make a save. In the 87th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Steen to maneuver through the defense. Chants of FC GG echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Denmark had held the ball for most of the match.
