Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 12 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when 傅鹏适 came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 杜烨康 came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt. But to his dismay, Gustaaf Groeneveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 22 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 傅鹏适. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 杜烨康 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If 傅鹏适 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. 杜烨康 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Egbert Nijveldt got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. 傅鹏适 took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. If Lars Meesters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute 傅鹏适 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 宋坚光 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Lars Meesters kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Gustaaf Groeneveldt heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Argyris Skentzos kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Wool United's 杜烨康 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Wool United from getting a goal against them. Lars Meesters blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without 杜烨康 having to make a save. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's 杜烨康 threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Wool United getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. 俞希昆 hit a great ball. 杜烨康 was a little too slow when Wim Wilmes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 1-3. 杜烨康 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 94th minute of play. Wim Wilmes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. Netherlands's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
