In the 47thth minute of the game Adria Bielsa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ömer Demirci made a kick off. KOCAELİSPOR's attentive Baba Yorgun managed to snatch the ball when Jonathan Criado made a throw-in in the 51st minute of the game. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömer Demirci in the 52nd minute of play. After taking down the ball on KOCAELİSPOR's corner Peng Yang Guang fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gabriel Ascaso quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Spain defense, Ömer Demirci kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gabriel Ascaso. The Spain fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Ascaso should have stopped the shot. 62 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's goalkeeper Şemsettin Tuyuğ had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Aranda. In the 63rd minute Ömer Demirci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ascaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Carles Cherro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Spain made a substitution. Pau Herrero replaced David Aranda. In the 84th minute, Spain's Carles Cherro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Şemsettin Tuyuğ. Şemsettin Tuyuğ yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. If Sergio Ruiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Şemsettin Tuyuğ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Ruiz in the 91st minute of the match. Carles Cherro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Şemsettin Tuyuğ skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aşır Zabit in the 95th minute of play forced Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. KOCAELİSPOR were victorious despite being under pressure from Spain for much of the match.
