When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Erik Jilek put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Anıl Ege Devlet. Mustafa Oğuz Gülle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Oğuz Gülle in the 13th minute of play forced Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anıl Ege Devlet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Jilek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mustafa Oğuz Gülle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Jilek took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anıl Ege Devlet. Anıl Ege Devlet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Jilek in the 27th minute of play forced Samsunspor's goalkeeper Anıl Ege Devlet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anıl Ege Devlet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Jilek, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After having played for 34 minutes, Ergincan Ersoy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samsunspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ergincan Ersoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yağızhan Acıbadem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Vavrinec Holub tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 41 minutes, Daniel Vitek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Czech Republic and the Samsunspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 41 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Vitek. Vavrinec Holub made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Diego Armando de Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th minute, Dalimil Charvat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mustafa Oğuz Gülle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vavrinec Holub having to interfere. The Samsunspor players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Czech Republic were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erik Jilek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anıl Ege Devlet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erik Jilek's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. The supporters of Czech Republic booed when Samsunspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kingsley Schindler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erik Jilek, 60 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Mustafa Oğuz Gülle might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vavrinec Holub. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mustafa Oğuz Gülle ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 64th minute, Yağızhan Acıbadem ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vavrinec Holub was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. 1-4 became the score in the 67th minute when Erik Jilek elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Rusil in the 71st minute of play forced Samsunspor's goalkeeper Anıl Ege Devlet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vavrinec Holub took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yağızhan Acıbadem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anıl Ege Devlet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Jilek in the 79th minute. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Svatopluk Capek hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Yağızhan Acıbadem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samsunspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Yağızhan Acıbadem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vavrinec Holub breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Samsunspor's Kingsley Schindler got a free kick in the 95th minute. Chants of Czech Republic echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Samsunspor had held the ball for most of the match.
